Invoicing Terms and Conditions
When you send an invoice through LockTrust to request payment from a customer for goods or services, the customer may be offered one or more available payment options (“Payment Types”). These Payment Types are determined at LockTrust’s discretion and may vary depending on the account type. The fee you pay for an invoicing transaction will depend on the Payment Type your customer selects at the time of payment, as outlined on our Fees page.
By using LockTrust’s Invoicing services, you acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for the following:
- Creating, managing, and administering invoices in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of invoices, including calculating and remitting any applicable taxes.
- Obtaining your customers’ consent to receive invoices via email or text through LockTrust.
- Ensuring timely payment from your customers based on the issued invoices.
- Addressing any technical issues on the customer’s side that prevent delivery or receipt of invoices.
- Providing customer support related to your products or services and associated invoices.
- Issuing all legally required notices and securing all necessary authorizations to share personal data with LockTrust.
If you are subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) as a Covered Entity or Business Associate, you agree not to use the Invoicing service in any way that causes LockTrust to receive, store, or transmit Protected Health Information (PHI) on your behalf.
You are also responsible for the accuracy and completeness of any data you direct LockTrust to send to third-party accounting software providers, and for how you use that data.
Invoicing fees are detailed on our Fees page. To use the service, you must choose a payment method for each invoice transaction. You may select any eligible payment method linked to your LockTrust account, including your available LockTrust business account balance. By using the Invoicing service, you authorize LockTrust to charge the selected funding source and any backup payment methods as needed.
LockTrust may bill you through one of its subsidiaries, affiliates, or partners. You consent to such billing arrangements, including any future changes in billing entities.
These Invoicing Terms may be updated or modified according to the LockTrust User Agreement.
