Bill Pay Terms and Conditions
These Bill Pay Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form a legal agreement between you and LockTrust, Inc. (“LockTrust,” “we,” or “us”) and govern your use of the LockTrust Bill Pay service (“Bill Pay”). Your use of Bill Pay is also subject to the LockTrust User Agreement, Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Statement, and any other applicable legal agreements (collectively, the “Related Agreements”). By using Bill Pay, you agree to these Terms and all Related Agreements.
In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Related Agreements, these Terms will govern your use of Bill Pay to the extent of the conflict.
We may modify these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on our website. Unless otherwise stated, changes take effect when posted. If any changes reduce your rights or increase your obligations, we will provide advance notice consistent with the LockTrust User Agreement.
Bill Pay Overview
Bill Pay allows you to make one-time or recurring payments from your LockTrust account to eligible businesses you select (“Billers”). This service does not support person-to-person payments. Upon submission of your Bill Pay request or on the scheduled date of a recurring payment, the payment amount (plus any applicable fees) will be debited from your account, and LockTrust will send the payment electronically. Payments are typically credited to your Biller within 1–3 business days, depending on the Biller’s third-party payment processing system.
To ensure timely payments, you must maintain sufficient funds in your account and submit payment requests in advance of your due date. LockTrust is not liable for payments that fail due to insufficient funds, unavailable funding sources, blocked or delayed transactions, or system outages.
Cancellations
You may cancel a payment by logging into your account. However, payments marked as “processing” or “processed” cannot be canceled. If the cancel option is available, you may attempt to cancel, but note that doing so will also cancel any future scheduled payments to that Biller.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all information entered in connection with each Bill Pay transaction, including recipient details and payment amounts.
Restrictions and Limitations
LockTrust reserves the right—subject to applicable law and at its sole discretion—to:
- Adjust your Bill Pay transaction limits;
- Block, hold, or restrict specific transaction types;
- Suspend or block payments to certain recipients; or
- Suspend your access to Bill Pay entirely.
