Invoicing

Navigate to the Invoice Management Section

Create a New Invoice

  • Tap or click “Create Invoice”

Enter Recipient Details

  • Input the recipient’s Email address & mobile number

Add Invoice Details

  • Invoice Number
  • Issue Date
  • Due Date
  • Recurring Date
  • Line Items:
    • Description of product or service
    • Quantity
    • Rate or price per unit
    • Taxes (if applicable)
    • Discounts (optional)
    • Interest

Review and Confirm Total Amount

  • The platform will auto-calculate the total.
  • Confirm or adjust fees if needed.

Add Notes or Terms (Optional)

  • Late fees, payment instructions, return policy, or thank-you notes.

Preview and Send

  • Review the full invoice.
  • Tap “Generate & Send”
  • The recipient gets a notification by email

Track Invoice Status

  • Monitor the invoice to see if it’s been:
    • Sent
    • Viewed
    • Paid

Link A Payment Method

(Optional but Recommended)

  • Add a bank account, credit/debit card, or funding source.
  • This enables you to send/receive funds or make purchases.
  1. Under “My Account”
    • Navigate to “Add Bank Account”
    • Go to Manage Bank.
    • Select “Add Bank”.
  2. Plaid’s Interface
    • A secure Plaid window will appear.
    • Enter mobile number & Continue.
    • Phone Verification: Enter the SMS code sent to your mobile number.
  3. Choose the Plaid Option
    • When prompted, choose “Connect via Plaid Instantly Verify”.
    • Tap Continue to proceed.
  4. Search and Select Your Bank
    • Use the search bar to find your financial institution.
    • Tap your bank’s name to proceed.
  5. Log In Using Your Online Banking Credentials
    • Enter the username and password you use for online banking.
    • Some banks may also ask for:
      • Two-factor authentication (e.g., SMS code or security question)
      • Biometric authentication (if using a mobile device)
  6. Choose Which Account(s) to Link
    • If your bank account has multiple sub-accounts (e.g., checking, savings), select the one(s) you want to link.
  7. Authorize Access
    • Confirm that you allow the eWallet platform to access account balances, account numbers, and transaction data as necessary.
  8. Finish Setup
    • Your bank account is now linked to your eWallet.

Optional: Confirm Micro-Deposits (manual Verification)

For microdeposit verification, LockTrust will initiate two small deposits to the target bank account. The amounts of these small deposits must then be verified to show that our customer has access to the bank account.

  • Some platforms may still require you to verify small test deposits (within 1–2 business days) before full access is granted.
  • Enter the exact deposit amounts back in the app when prompted.

Virtual Cards

(This guide outlines how to create and load virtual cards)

Spend smarter online, in-store, and abroad—all while avoiding high currency conversion fees. The LockTrust virtual card uses the mid-market exchange rate and offers an extra layer of security by existing only within your LockTrust account.

Creating a Card

  • Under “My Account”
  • Navigate to “Manage Card”
    • Select “Create virtual card”.
    • Your card is now created!

To View, Load, or Unlink

  • Under “My Account”
  • Navigate to “Manage Card”
    • Choose “view” “load” or “unlink”
    • Your card is now created!

Create a Wallet Account

TO REGISTER

You will need to do KYC verification by uploading a copy of your ID & address verification along with a selfie. Once registered, under my account you can add a bank account & create a virtual card to use.

Steps to Register for an LT Wallet Account

  1. Visit https://ew.locktrust.com
  2. Select “Sign Up”
    • Tap on the “Sign Up” button on the home screen.
  3. Choose Account Type
    • Select between:
      • Personal account (for individuals)
      • Business account (for merchants or freelancers)
  4. Enter Personal Information
    • First & Last name (as per ID)
    • Email address
    • Mobile phone number
    • Date of birth
    • Residential address
  5. Set Login Credentials
    • Create a secure password
  6. Agree to Terms & Conditions
    • Read and accept the eWallet’s terms of service and privacy policy.

Verify Contact Details

  • Email Verification: Check your inbox / SPAM for a confirmation code.
  • Phone Verification: Enter the SMS code sent to your mobile number.

Upload ID Documents (if required)

For identity verification, upload:

  • Government-issued ID (passport, driver’s license, etc.)
  • Address Verification
  • Selfie or facial scan (in some cases)

This step is required for full access or higher limits.

Complete Setup

Once verified, your e-Wallet account is ready to use.

You can now send money, receive payments, create invoices, and more.

    • EFT in Canada refers to the electronic transfer of funds directly from one bank account to another. It’s similar to the Automated Clearing House (ACH) system in the United States, but operates in Canadian dollars (CAD) within the Canadian financial network. Governed by Payments Canada, it provides a way for banks and other financial institutions to move money electronically between accounts by “pushing” funds to recipients and “pulling” funds from senders.

    • INTERAC
      Interac e-Transfer offers two distinct ways for recipients to receive funds: traditional and autodeposit. Understanding these flows is crucial for both senders and recipients to ensure smooth and timely transactions.
      • Traditional: As part of this process, the recipient may be asked to enter a verification PIN. This PIN is generated by Lock Trust, and is presented via the recipient experience.
      • Autodeposit: When an Interac e-Transfer is sent to the email or phone number linked to the recipient’s Interac account, they receive an email notification from Interac and the funds will be automatically deposited directly into their associated bank account.

Load Money Into Your LT Wallet

External institution – initiate the transfer from your bank or payment service of choice.

Supported Inbound Payment

FedNow Instant payments via the Federal Reserve, 24/7.

To retrieve your LT Bank Account (Beneficiary) details:

  1. Go to the top right corner of your dashboard and click on your name or profile photo.
  2. Select “My Profile” from the dropdown menu.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  4. Your Bank Details (Account Number and Routing Number) will be displayed there.

Option 1: My Account Tab => Manage Bank => Load & confirm

Option 2: Navigate to “Add Money”

  1. E Vouchers

    • Add money from linked & verified bank accounts, identical to option 1
